Iloca Stereo Close-up Lens Attachment
Close-up Lens for the Iloca Stereo II / IIa
This close-up attachment is a useful accessory which allows subjects to be photographed in the range from 44 cm to 100 cm. The special wedge shaped lenses perform a dual role - they provide close-up focusing, as well as redirecting the light so that the subject is centered in both the right and left images.
The square central lens fits over the camera's viewfinder to compensate for parallex error.
With a bit of practice (or perhaps trial and error), this accessory is capable of producing nice sharp close-ups.

Available in Two Versions...
Close-up Lens for Iloca Stereo Rapid / Realist 45
The frames are slip-on type which fit over the camera lens surrounds. They have small tabs which can be adjusted to hold them firmly in place. The only downside is that it's easy to scratch the chrome lens surrounds when fitting the attachment to the camera.
One word of caution ! There are two versions of this accessory available - one to suit the Iloca II / Iloca IIa series cameras, and one to suit the Iloca Stereo Rapid / Realist 45. Although they are similar, they are not the same, and are not fully interchangeable due to the different position of the viewfinders on the different camera models. If you use the wrong lens for a particular model of camera, the square viewfinder lens section will not be correctly positioned over the camera's built-in viewfinder. Consequently, the view through the viewfinder will be obscured by the accessory frame, and you will not be able to correctly compose your photo.
This is a nice addition to the camera which opens up new possibilities for close-up subjects.
